A couple called us around Thanksgiving weekend looking for a kitchen/living room/bathroom renovation West of Saskatoon It was built as an RTM (Ready-to-move home) in the 1960’s and hadn’t been updated much since. The closed in layout was a challenge to their quickly growing family and they wanted a more open layout to keep everyone together at family gatherings.
We came out to the farm and had them show us around as The Go2Guys & Girls assessed their needs and wants. We brought out an architect shortly after for a structural assessment and then provided the clients with a quote and got the go ahead to start while they spent the Winter in Arizona. We communicated via email with the clients with updates on their project and any questions.
Shortly after the meeting with the architect a quick trip to Saskatoon for the clients with The Go2Girls took place! We spent the day going from supplier to supplier to pick the perfect products that were within the clients budget, modern yet classic, and practical for grandchildren and dusty farm life!
We removed the wall separating the living room and kitchen, all flooring, drywall, rotten framing, sub-floor, old electrical, old plumbing etc.
When in doubt.. Don’t throw it out! During demolition we found the children’s height chart on the drywall inside the pantry. Our crew removed this piece of drywall and set it aside in a safe place for our clients to keep.
A PRACTICAL LAYOUT WITH AN OVER-SIZED ISLAND
WHEN I SAID “OVER-SIZED” I MEANT IT! AND LOTS OF ROOM FOR STORAGE WITH A NEW LIVING ROOM WHICH ALSO ALLOWS THAT SOUTH SUNLIGHT TO FLOW IN
AN OPEN AND MODERN STAIRCASE TO THE BASEMENT
SO LONG DARK AND CRAMPED KITCHEN
REMOVAL OF THE DIVIDING WALL & STACKING THE LAUNDRY FOR EXTRA ROOM
And finished with a professional cleaning from The Go2Girls!
We strive to complete each project as if it were our own! Contact us today to find out how we can make you fall in love with your home again!
